Okay. Awesome. One cartridge should be more than enough.
[He really hopes to not have to use one more bullet, let alone six. Of course his gun is a revolver so it's just single bullets, but hopefully it's the same deal.]
Tomorrow morning good? We can meet at the bar.
[And he can down some coffee before this whole thing.]
[Sure enough, the morning after, she's waiting at Delight's bar, perched on a barstool and making some last-minute adjustments to her guns while she waits.]
He didn't sleep all that well the night before, which is nothing unusual, but it makes him nervous considering they're going monster hunting. But he had been utterly exhausted and had a concussion on top of that when he'd been shooting wendigos at home and did just fine, so surely a few cups of coffee and he'll be good to go here.
He gives Lilith a small wave of greeting as he enters the bar, moving immediately to the coffee cart.]
[Hadriel's messed with her sleep and wake cycles something fierce, but hey-- Lilith bounces back quick. Perk of hopping around to different planets with different day cycles all the time.
Which doesn't mean she's saying no to coffee.]
Would I ever. [A grin.] I gotta work on this stuff for a sec, feels like something's sticking in here. S'different when you can't just digistruct things back in the right order...
[Okay so he caught everything but 'digistruct' part, but whatever. He sets up to make enough espresso for them both before half leaning and half sitting on the closest barstool to wait, a little--or a lot--nervous on top of being tired and just generally a bit apprehensive about the whole thing. But Lilith seems calm enough, so that's reassuring.]
So um... How many monsters are you going for?
[Because he just needs one himself, but he's curious on what she's planning.]

also, the last person you went monster hunting with wasn't me. nbd. I can handle myself! and you.
and hey! We can start with something easy! maybe the rat things? theyre just really big. they dont spit poison or anything.
no subject
Okay. Giant rats seem manageable. I only have one bullet though, so I'm only going to be useful for one monster until I can trade with Rage.
[He's confident he can kill a giant rat in one shot though.]

it's one carcass, one cartridge. that should be plenty
and if it's not, you can have a couple of my kills.

[How has ANYBODY lived without the convenience of digitally summoning everything, really...
She holds up three fingers to illustrate.] Three. I'm running low, but it's a pain to drag them back and forth to Rage's.
Just watch and learn, Chris. You'll pick up on hunting in no time.

[But he's not offended, setting up a mug for himself with sugar and milk while the espresso is still brewing.]
I can um, help you carry them back.
[It's the least he can do, and he gives her a nervous smile at her last comment.]
I appreciate the vote of confidence, but I'm um... Really nervous.
[He figures it's okay to admit that.]
no subject
[She shrugs at that remark, though; it's only fair, really, that he would be, so she can't completely judge him.]
Bringing them back is worse than taking them out. Once you get used to it, that is.
Before you got here, did you ever really use a gun?
no subject
Ohman, yeah. Or all the people that replied to Josh's post.
[And were wondering what a condom is. Tragedy.
At the question he gives a small shrug, pulling out the espresso shots and pouring them into two mugs.]
The um... The night before I got here, when everything happened, yeah. Before that, no.
